Recruitment of Clerk (All over India) 

Selection Process

Written Examination: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Examination and Interview.

The written examination consists of objective Test:

Objective Tests consists of following:

1) Test of Reasoning 
Total Number of Questions: 50 

2) Test of English Language 
Total Number of Questions: 50 

3) Test of Numerical Ability 
Total Number of Questions: 50 

4) Test of General Awareness with special reference to Banking industry 
Total Number of Questions: 50 

5) Test of Computer knowledge. 
Total Number of Questions: 50 

(250 Questions carrying total weightage of 250 with total time duration of 150 minutes).

Negative marks: For each wrong answer one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question wll be deducted.

Bank will decide the minimum cut-off marks for each test as well as Total Weightage Marks.

Interview: The Interview will carry 50 Marks. Minimum qualifying marks in the interview will be 22.50 marks for General Category
and 20.00 marks for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/ Ex-servicemen Candidates.

Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination & Interview and will
be strictly according to the merit ranking.

Indian Overseas Bank is one of the major bank in the Chennai. This is a nationalized bank in India. This bank was established in 1937 by Mr. M. Ct. M. Chidambaram. In admission bank provides the facility like Internet banking, Mobile Banking, Demat Service, NRI service etc. This is one of the bank which is approved by the Government for paying the taxes online. IOB also have the corporate banking facility for the corporate sector people.
Indian Overseas Bank has the very good network of the ATM in all over India. Around 771 ATM’s are serving the facility to its customers. In last four year bank managed to increase its business very goodly. Report says that bank doubles its business in last four years. The total deposits in the bank are nearly Rs.110795 crore in the end of March 2010. All the process of the banks are very easy and user friendly thus any one can use those facilities vary easily.
