Unique Identification Authority Of India (UIDAI) invites application for the following posts:

Positions:


1) Deputy Director

Pay-Scale: Rs.15600-39100 + 6600/-

2) Section Officer
Total Number of posts: 06 
Pay-Scale: Rs.9300-34800 + 4800/-

3) Private Secretary
Total Number of posts: 26 
Pay-Scale: Rs.9300-34800 + 4200/-

4) Assistant
Total Number of posts: 04 
Pay-Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + 4800/-

5) Steno
Total Number of posts: 03 
Pay-Scale: Rs.9300-34800 + 4200/-

Field of Selection:
Officers of Central Government/ State Governments /UTs/ PSUs/Autonomous bodies

Period and other terms and conditions of deputation:
The initial period of deputation shall be for three years extendable by a further period of two years as per Department of Personnel & Training O.M.No.6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17.06.10. The terms and conditions of deputation will be governed by the aforementioned DoP&T’s O.M. of 17.6.10.

Eligibility for Government Accommodation
The officer appointed in the UIDAI will be eligible for General Pool Residential Accommodation at par with Central Government employees.

About UIDAI
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), is an agency of the Government of India responsible for implementing the envisioned Multipurpose National Identity Card or Unique Identification card (UID Card) project in India. It was established in February 2009, and will own and operate the Unique Identification Number database.[1] The authority will aim at providing a unique number to all Indians, but not smart cards. The authority would provide a database of residents containing very simple data in biometrics.
The agency is headed by a chairman, who holds a cabinet rank. The UIDAI is part of the Planning Commission of India. Nandan Nilekani, a former co-chairman of Infosys Technologies, was appointed as the first Chairman of the authority in June 2009. Ram Sewak Sharma, an IAS Officer of Jharkhand Government cadre has been appointed as the Director General and Mission Director of the Authority. He is known for his best effort in e-Governance project for Jharkhand State and working as an IT secretary he received a number of awards for best Information Technology Trends State in India.
