Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Puducherry Domiciles and NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students for admission to I MDS (Postgraduate) Courses through Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination (PGDEE) -2011, in Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry for the academic year 2011 -2012

How To Apply:

Application forms along with Information Bulletin may be obtained from the OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, Gorimedu, Puducherry-605006 or SBI Branch, MGPGI campus, Puducherry from 20.12.2010 in person or by enclosing a crossed Demand Draft drawn at Nationalised Banks in favour of the DIRECTOR, MAHATMA GANDHI POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, payable at Puducherry. The candidates can also apply in the application form downloadable at mqpgi.puducherry.gov.in together with the prescribed fee by Demand Draft only payable as mentioned above. The last date for receipt of filled in Application is 05.01.2011 (05.00P.M). The date of PGDEE-16.01.2011.

ABOUT US:

Pondicherry Dental College and Hospital was established in the year 1990. It was rechristened as Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and Hospital by the then  Lt. Governor, Her Excellency late Dr. (Tmt.) Rajendra Kumari Bajpai in the year 1995. It was renamed and upgraded to Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences on 08.09.2005. It is proposed to develop the Institute on par with other leading Medical Institutes in the country like AIIMS (New Delhi), PGI (Chandigarh), SGPGI (Lucknow).  The Institution has chosen the motto “Knowledge is Power” emphasizing that knowledge is the most essential thing to empower a person. Presently, it is offering 5 year BDS course (inclusive of one year paid compulsory rotatory internship). Postgraduate course is offered in seven specialities. Starting of Postgraduate programmes in two more specialities is in the pipeline.Since its inception. The degrees (BDS and MDS) are recognized by the Dental Council of India and this Institution is affiliated to the Pondicherry University (a Central University).
