About Delhi University

The Department of Computer Science was established in University of Delhi in the year 1981, with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA )
Three-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme at the department was started in 1982 and was among the first such programmes in India. Since then, it has been immensely popular and one of the most sought after courses in India. The department is proud of its more than 700 alumni at important positions in information technology industry in India and abroad.

M.Sc. (Computer Science)
Two-year M.Sc. (Computer Science) course introduced in the year 2004 in the department aims to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to carry out research and development work, as well as take up a career in the IT industry.

Note:
1) All information relating to admission, including  Entrance Examination results, schedule for interviews (applicable for MCA only), and counseling shall be notified on the department website and on the department notice board. 
2) The Entrance Examination will be conducted at University of Delhi only.

Admission Ticket for MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science)
The admission tickets will be issued by post only. In case of non-receipt of the Admission Ticket, a request may be made to the department with    two copies of photograph alongwith proof of having sent the application, not earlier than three days prior to the date of the  Entrance Examination, for issue of a duplicate admission ticket. The candidate will be required to show the admission ticket at the time of the test. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination Hall without the admission ticket.
Instructions for Entrance Examination for MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science)

(i) All candidates will take their seats as per time given in the schedule.

(ii) Candidates will write particulars on the cover page of the booklet using ball pen, without breaking the seal of the booklet.

(iii) Breaking open the seal of the booklet: On instruction from the invigilator, the  candidates will break open the seal of the booklet and take out the answer-sheet. They will write their particulars and put their signatures using ball point/ fountain pen. They will also encode roll number, category (e.g. GEN/SC/ST/CW/PH/ OBC) paper series and serial number of the test booklet, in HB Pencil only. Specimen is given ahead. Candidates are advised to be careful in filling up these particulars since any wrong entry is likely to render the answer sheet rejected by the computer.

(iv) Late Entry: The entry in the Examination Hall will not be allowed after the start of the test. Thereafter all doors will be closed and no candidate will be permitted entry in the Examination Hall. Candidates are advised to reach the Centre by the reporting time.

(v) Pens/Ball Pens/Pencil Erasers: The candidates are required to bring their own ink / ball point pens, HB pencils (any other pencil HH, HHH, etc., should not be used). In case any pencil other than HB pencil is used, the answer sheet may be rejected by the Optical Mark Scanner.

(vi) Answer Sheet and Checking of Serial Number : The answer sheet is placed inside the booklet. It carries a serial number which should tally with the serial number on the Test Booklet. The candidate should immediately bring to the notice of the invigilator any discrepancy in the serial number on the test booklet and the serial number on the answer sheet placed inside it. In such an event, the candidate will be given a new booklet and answer sheet. In any case, the candidate must not use an answer sheet which has a serial number different from the one given on the test booklet.

(vii) Rough Work : All rough work is to be done in the space provided in test booklet only. Rough work MUST NOT be done in the answer sheet. The candidate will not bring any sheet for rough work.

(viii) Test booklet should be unsealed by the Candidate only after the announcement by the Invigilator.

(ix) The Answer Sheet and the Test Booklet will be collected from the candidate after the Test is over.

(x) The answers are to be given in the appropriate answer-sheet only and NOT in the Test Booklet.

(xi) Do not start writing answers until you are asked to do so.

(xii) Each multiple choice question carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks. For each incorrect response shown in the answer-sheet, one marks will be deducted. No mark will, however, be deducted for not attempting a question. More than one response indicated against a question in the answer sheet will be considered as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.

(xiii) If you do not understand a particular question go to the next question. If you have time you may come back to it later. You should not ask anything about a question to the Invigilator.

(xiv) Use of any calculating device like calculator or mathematical tables is not allowed.

(xv) No candidate will be allowed to leave the Examination Hall until he/she finishes the examination and hands over the answer sheet and test booklet to the invigilator.

(xvi) Eatables are not allowed in the Examination Hall/Room.

(xvii) Sample Questions supplied to candidates only indicate the type of questions that may be asked and do not cover the entire syllabus. The degree of difficulty of questions in the Entrance Examination may also vary.

(xviii) Mobile Phones are not allowed in the Examination Hall.

MH-SSET-2011 Procedure for Admission to DM/MCh Superspeciality Courses

ELIGIBILITY:

A candidate will be eligible for MH-SSET 2011 and for selection/admission to a course in Superspeciality if fulfills following conditions.

The candidate must be an Indian national.

The candidate must possess recognized post graduate degree MD/MS (or its equivalent) from a medical college recognized by MCI. Candidates who have appeared MD/MS or equivalent examinations are also eligible to submit application forms. However, they will be considered for selection, on production of passing certificate of postgraduation degree on the date of preference form filling and counseling.

A permanent MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)/any other state council registration is a precondition for appearing for MH-SSET.

The minimum percentage of marks secured by the candidates in the MH-SSET 2011 for the purpose of eligibility for admission to Superspeciality courses shall be 50% for all the candidates.

A candidate who has already acquired a Superspeciality degree course in any one discipline and who has already completed the course is not eligible to apply for any other discipline.

Candidate who are presently under going Superspeciality course in one discipline are not eligible to apply for any other discipline.

INFORMATION BROCHURE AND APPLICATION FORM :

The information Brochure and the Application Form will be available for sale at the following offices of the Designated Authorities, from 25/05/2011 to 04/06/2011 excluding Sundays and Government Holidays.

a) Grant Medical College, Byculla, Mumbai - 400 008.

b) B.J. Medical College, Pune - 411 001.
c) Govt. Medical College, Panchakki Road, Aurangabad - 431 001.
d) Govt. Medical College, Hanuman Nagar, Nagpur - 440 003.

The cost of application form along with the information Brochure of MH-SSET-2011 and the examination fee is Rs. 2000/- to be payable by a Demand Draft / Pay Order of any scheduled commercial bank drawn in favour of the “Director, Medical Education & Research, Mumbai” Payable at Mumbai. This amount is not refundable. Brochure and the application forms will not be issued/sent by Post/Courier.

Application form complete in all respects will be accepted in person at the above centers from 25/05/2011 to 04/06/2011 during office hours. Application forms sent through courier / Post will not be accepted.

Admit card :

The Admit card will be issued from DMER office, CET Cell from 14/06/2011 onwards during office hours.

Issue of admit card is just an enabling provision for appearing for MH-SSET and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of eligibility conditions for admission.

In case of loss of admit card, it shall be obligatory on the part of candidate to procure duplicate admit card from the DMER Office, CET Cell, Mumbai. On the day of examination the duplicate Admit Card will be given at the examination centre not later than one hour before the commencement of examination. Duplicate Admit Card will be issued only on production of Receipt-cum-Identity card/sufficient evidence to prove that he/she is the genuine/bonafide candidate.

The candidate shall submit only one application form. Submission of more than one form will disqualify the candidate.

VITMEE EXAM DATES

VITMEE will be conducted on 11th and 12th June 2011, between 10 am and 12 noon. VIT will inform the candidates the exact date and time of the exam will be uploaded in website. 

Test Slot booking instructions:

VITMEE 2011 test slot booking is a web based online scheduling system.

Online Applicants

Once the candidate submits the online application, the candidate will receive will an e-mail (as per the id specified in the VITMEE 2011 online application form) with a website link and the corresponding login credentials (user id & password). 

Candidates are required to check the VIT website (www.vit.ac.in) on a regular basis for any important updates.

ELIGIBILITY
Nationality
The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National and should have graduated from Institutions located in India.

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% for MCA and 50% for M.Tech. degree programmes.

Consistent Record in X Std. and XII Std. is required. 

Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply. 

Candidates should have completed their final Semester/year exams before the selection interview at VIT University. 

It is compulsory for candidates selected to produce their final year marks’ statement and Provisional degree certificate before August 15th, 2011, failing which, their admission will stand cancelled.

Scholarships

100% tuition fee waiver will be given for GATE top scorers. 
In addition, a total sum of  1,68,000/- per student will be awarded for 2 years as a stipend (paid on monthly basis).

A stipend of  5,000/- per month for candidates of M.Tech. Nanotechnology with high GATE scores.
In addition they will get  25,000/- per annum as contingency under DST-Nanotechnology initiative programme.

A stipend of  25,000/- per month will be given by DAAD fellowship for M.Tech. Sensor Systems Technology 
(One year at VIT and one year at UAS, Karlsruhe, Germany).

Candidates can then login to the link and choose from the available options about test schedule (date & time), test center and book the test slot as per their choice.

The schedule booking will be done on first-come-first served basis, subject to the availability of slots / seats.

A slot once booked cannot be changed. Requests for change of date, slot or test center will not be entertained under any circumstance.

In case of non availability of slots in a center of choice, the candidates may choose to book a slot in an alternate center.

It is the responsibility of the candidates to book their test schedule for VITMEE-2011 in the given time frame.

VIT will not be held accountable for the non booking of test slot by the candidate.

A confirmation mail will be automatically sent to the candidates registered e-mail address. 

Candidates will be able to print their admit card from 06th June 2011, onwards.
Candidates applying through printed application form

VIT will allot the test slot and despatch the admit card to the candidates who have applied using the printed application form. Applicants will also have an option to download their admit card from the link mentioned in VIT website (if not received admit card from VIT).

Sikkim University is a National University established under Sikkim University Act, 2006. It started functioning from July 2007. AGE : SVNIRTAR : Minimum age of the candidate- 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the course. Maximum age of the candidate-21 years of age on 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the course.

NIOH : Upper Age limit is 28 years age as on 31st March 2011.

The Prospectus-cum-Application form for Degree courses will be available at SVNIRTAR- CUTTACK, NIOH- KOLKATA, CRC- GUWAHATI, IPH-NEWDELHI, CRC-SRINAGAR, CRC-LUCNOW, REGIONAL CENTRE- AIZAWL, CRC-PATNA, NIHH- CHENNAI against Bank Draft Rs.500/- for General category candidates and Rs.400/- for SC/ST/PH candidates in favour of The Director, SVNIRTAR, payable at Cuttack. Candidates desiring to obtain Prospectus-cum-Application form by Regd. Post may obtain the same by sending the Bank Draft of Rs.550/- for General candidates and Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PH candidates.

Application form can also be downloaded from the SVNIRTAR website http://www.nirtar.nic.in However, the candidates are required to enclose the required Demand Draft of the prescribed fees in favour of Director, SV NIRTAR, payable at Cuttack along with filled application form.

The Prospectus-cum-Application form for Post Graduate courses will be downloaded from the SVNIRTAR website: http://www.nirtar.nic.in. The candidates are required to enclose to Demand Draft for Rs.600/- for General candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates in favour of the Director, SVNIRTAR, payable at Cuttack as prescribed fees.

Eligibility:
The candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% in the case of SC/ST/OBC) and must have passed English as in an elective subject.

Himachal Pradesh University invites applications for admission for the academic year 2008 - at:

The Admission will be based on an Entrance Examination.

Age -: The candidate should have attained the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age as on 1st of October, 2008.

How To Apply:
The prospectus containing details and prescribed application forms will be available at the University Counter w.e.f.29.05.2008 on cash payment of Rs. 1,000/- for General & other categories. For SC/ST candidates, the price of the prospectus at University Counter shall be Rs. 500/-

A copy of prospectus can also be obtained by Registered Post by remitting Rs. 1,050/- (Rs. 550/- in case of SC/ST candidates) through crossed IPO's/Demand Drafts drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5. The request for supply of the prospectus by post along with requisite fee and two self addressed gummed stickers and mentioning the name of the course be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests), Room Number 10, Ground Floor, Administrative Block, H.P. University, Summer Hill, Shimla-5 (HP). Money orders will not be accepted. Cost of prospectus will also include the test fee. No request for sending the prospectus by post will be entertained after 7.6.2008 and University will not be responsible for any postal delay, misplacement or loss of the prospectus in transit.
