Post Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering (PDTPPE)
Eligibility: Three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ control & Instrumentation or equivalent. Graduate engineers are not eligible. (Engineering or equivalent from a recognized technical board of the state with minimum of 60% marks with I class/I Grade)
Selection Procedure: As per Merit (% of marks in Diploma)
Age Limit: 27 years as on 01.01.2011. No age limit for sponsored candidates.
Total Seats: 72(seventy two) -provisional). Reservation for SC/ST/ OBC/Physically challenged and other categories is Applicable as per Govt. of India norms for none sponsored candidates. 25% seats are reserved for sponsored candidates from Power utilities having more than one year experience and more than 65% marks in Diploma with Class I/I Grade.

Post Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering
Sensing the need for trained man power in the supervisory cadre the Post Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering was launched in December 2000 at the four Institutes at Badarpur, Nagpur, Durgapur and Neyveli. This one year course is aimed at developing skills and the attitude for fresh and practicing Diploma engineers.
