IGNOU collaborates with MHA for Anti-Human Trafficking programme
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has joined hands with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to launch a Certificate programme in Anti-Human Trafficking (CAHT). The first batch of the programme, being offered under the School of Law (SOL), will commence from the January 2011 session.
The programme aims to prepare well-informed professionals in the field of Anti-Human Trafficking. Its objectives are to create awareness and provide comprehensive understanding in Anti-Human Trafficking; to develop understanding and coordination among learners about various stakeholders /agencies associated with Anti-Human Trafficking; to build awareness in areas of law, policies, rehabilitation and prevention aspects of human trafficking; and to develop practical skills to engage with the process of understanding, rehabilitation, prevention and reintegration of human trafficking.
Any Graduate/10+2 with 5 years of experience in related field are eligible to apply. Candidates who are 10th pass can also apply after doing a bridge course from IGNOU. The fees for the programme is Rs 2,000 and the medium of instruction is English.
Admissions are open till December 20 with a late fee of Rs 200.
