NERIST Entrance Exam for PG Admissions

NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) was developed by Government of India. The institution was first complied as project for North Eastern Council having view of making technical manpower for different levels of advancement in North Eastern Region of India. NERIST is located at foothills of Eastern Himalayas at Arunachal Pradesh. NERIST Entrance Exam of PG Admissions is organized for courses like MBA, M.SC in Forestry, and M. Tech. There are 3 special entrance exams held to the admissions for 3 different levels like NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III. 

Eligibility 

MBA: Bachelor’s Degree in one discipline, recognized through AIU (Association of Indian Universities). General candidates need have minimum 50% in aggregate. 5% relaxation for candidates of SC/ST/PH category

M. Tech: B. Tech. or corresponding degree plus CGPA 3.25 from 5.00 point scale. Candidates may also have 60% combined for General Category and valid GATE Score. 5% relaxation for candidates of SC/ST/PH category 

M. Sc. in Forestry: 4 years Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Agriculture or Horticulture plus CGPA 3.25 from 5.00 point scale otherwise 60% marks altogether. 

Selection Procedure

Results of selected candidates will be presented on notice board at institute. The same result is also available on official website of the Institute. Admit Cards are generally sent through post to selected candidates. No detached letter is sent to the written test or the interview. Selected candidates for the PG curses need to appear for written test as well as interview as per the announcement published. 

Candidates for the MBA program need to come out for written test, personal interview and Group discussion. Candidates will be chosen on the base of their merit. Result of chosen candidates will be presented on institute’s notice board and also on the website as per the notice is published.
