BE/BTech in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering from AICTE Recognised College & having scored more than 50%

How To Apply:

Selection Procedure for 1 Year G.M.E

Keeping in view the DGS guidelines, PRIME adopts the following method of selection in a phased manner.

Phase – I

Filled-in Application Form: Duly completed application forms received by the due date shall be scrutinized for the following.

Age and minimum educational qualification (As detailed in Eligibility criteria)

Phase – II

The short-listed applicants in Phase-I, shall be required to a undergo Physical Fitness and Medical Examination, conducted by DGS approved Doctor to be conducted at the Institute.

Phase – III

Candidates passed through Phase-II, in Medical Test, shall be required to appear in an Entrance Test held on All-India basis conducted by the Institute and Andhra University jointly. The Written Test comprises of

- General Engineering Subjects

Phase – IV

Successful candidates in the written examination are required to attend Group Discussion held by the Institution.

Phase – V

Candidates selected in Group Discussions shall be subjected to interview by a board of members.

Phase – VI

Enrollment / Induction process of successful candidates.

Praveenya Institute of Marine Engineering & Maritime Studies (PRIME) was established in the year 2005 by a group of academicians and professional engineers on a sprawling area of 21 Acres of land. It is located on the outskirts of the port and steel city, the famous City of Destiny, Visakhapatnam, in the lap of nature. At present PRIME is the only approved institute in Andhra Pradesh for conducting 4 year BE Marine Engineering degree courses and 1year G.M.E.course approved by DG Shipping. The institute is recognized by AICTE and is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, one of the prestigious universities in India. PRIME has developed the infrastructure on the lines of International standards for marine education training.
