Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission invites applications for the following existing vacancy, which is to be filled up on deputation/contract recruitment basis in accordance with the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Management & Development of Human Resources) Regulations 2001 (as amended from time to time). However, the preferred mode of recruitment is deputation. The Regulations can be downloaded from DERC’s Website: www.derc.gov.in A separate application for the post is to be submitted as per the given instructions:
1) Dy. Director (Tariff Acctts & Fin. Analysis)
Pay Band – 3 Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600 Group-A
Total Number of posts: 01
Essential Qualification:
1. Post Graduate degree in Accountancy OR equivalent from a recognized institution OR Qualified Chartered Accountant OR Post Graduate Degree in Finance OR Officers belonging to organized Accounts services such as, Indian Audit & Accounts Service, Indian Railway Account Service, Indian Defense Account Service, Indian Civil Account Service etc.
2. Officers holding analogous Posts on regular basis OR With 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs.8000-13500 (pre-revised) OR With 5 years regular service in pay scale of Rs. 7500-12000 (pre-revised) OR With 8 years regular service in pay scale of 6500-10500 (pre-revised)
Desirable Qualification:
1.Experience in professional accounting and management of Staff
2.Sound Knowledge of financial procedure in Commercial enterprises/ Govt. Accounting procedures
3. Experience in financial analysis of investment decisions in commercial enterprises, examination of power purchase agreements.
4. Graduate degree in Engineering(Electrical/ Mechanical/Power)/ Equivalent from a recognised Institute.
2) Dy. Director (Transmission & Distribution)
Pay Band – 3 Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600 Group-A

Essential Qualification:
1. Graduate Degree in Electrical/Power Engg OR equivalent from a recognised institution
2. Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis OR with 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 (pre-revised) OR with 5 years regular service in pay scale of Rs. 7500-12000 (pre-revised) OR with 8 years regular service in pay scale of 6500-10500 (pre-revised)
Desirable Qualification:
1. Engineering experience in large public utilities with generation, transmission and distribution facilities
2. Direct Operational experience in transmission and distribution
3. Should be familiar with Commercial & Economic issues/Tariff issues/analytic modelling/power purchase agreements
3) Private Secretary
Pay Band - 9300-34800 with grade pay Rs.4800 Group-B

Essential Qualification:
1. Graduate degree from a recognised university
2. Well versed in computerised word processing
3. Proficient in short hand & typing in English.
4. Holding analogous post on regular basis in Central/State Govt. OR With 2 years regular service in pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000 (pre-revised) OR With 6 yrs. Regular service in the pay scale of Rs. 5000-8000 (pre-revised) OR equivalent
Desirable Qualification:
1. Experience of working as Personal Assistant to HOD for 5 yrs. In Central/State Govt. OR any PSU/ Corporation under Govt.
2. Diploma in office management & secretarial Procedure
4) Caretaker
Pay Band-2 5200-20200 With Grade Pay Rs. 2800 Group-C

Essential Qualification:
1. Senior Secondary passed from a recognised School/Institute.
2. Official holding analogous post in Central/State Govt. or any PSU/Corporation/Autonomous Body under Central/State Govt. on regular basis Or With 2 years regular service in Rs. 4000-6000/-(pre-revised) scale OR With 5 years regular service in Rs. 3050-4590/-(pre-revised) scale.
Desirable Qualification:
1. Experience of care taking and general maintenance of office building and other equipments of general convenience etc.

The Govt. of India had enacted the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 (No.14 of 1998) on 2nd July, 1998 with the objective of providing for the establishment of a Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and State Electricity Regulatory Commissions, rationalisation of electricity tariff, transparent policies regarding subsidies, promotion of efficient and environmentally benign policies and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
