GCET Goa Common Entrance Test Date Notification Form Pattern Eligibility

GCET Goa Common Entrance Test

Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa is conducts the Goa Common Entrance Test for the admission of first year degree courses in Medical, Engineering and Architecture. Architecture admissions are done by the basis of NATA, I. E. National Aptitude Test for Architecture.
Various courses that are offered by GCET:
Bachelor of Engineering
M. B. B. S.
B. D. S. (Dentistry)
B. Pharm
B. Arch (Architecture)

Eligibility:

For B. E.:
Candidates have to pass higher secondary examination (12th) of Goa Board with minimum aggregated of 50 % marks in English, Physics and Mathematics subjects which are compulsory and with one optional subject. For SC/ NT/ OBC candidates needs minimum 40 % marks to appear. 

MBBS & BDS:
Candidates who are seeking admission in MBBS or BDS should have pass 12th examination of Goa Board with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and needs minimum of 50% marks for general category candidates and for reserved category needs 40%.

For B. Arch:
For the admission in B. Arch candidates have to appear for NATA which is an online exam and conducted by Council of Architecture. Also candidate need to pass HSC examination with 50% and valid subjects.
For Medicine and Dentistry degree courses candidates must have completed 17 years of age. There is no age limit for the Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy. The applicant candidates must have to be Indian nationality. NRI candidates also may apply in the category of NRI with valid Passport.

Examination Pattern:
GCET has five subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Science. Candidates need to appear for only those subjects which they have studied in 12th examination. The questions are of objective type and each subject has 75 questions. Two hours is provided for the each paper. The question is based on the subjects who are in HSC examination.

  1. Directorate of Technical Education, Goa has issued notice to postpone the GCET 2020 exam Date on account of the coronavirus outbreak. GCET 2020 was scheduled to be conducted on May 5 and 6 across various test cities of the state. The board has also said that the new dates will be announced ten days in advance to the conduct of examination.
