UPSC Recruitment of Geologists’ Exam 2010

Union Public Service commission (UPSC) Geologists’ Examination 2010 from 4th December 2010 

Eligibility: Candidate must be 21 years of old as on 1st january 2010 Relaxation as per government rules.

A candidate must hold (i) Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or (ii) Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration or (iii) Master’s Degree in Hydrology or (iv) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines Dhanbad.

Application fees: candidates must pay fees of rs 100 SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.

Recruitment Rules

In accordance with the provisions contained in Article 320 of the Constitution read with the provisions of Union Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations 1958, Recruitment Rules of all Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B" posts in various Ministries/Departments of Government of India are required to be framed in Consultation with the Commission.
