About Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) a Government of India undertaking. CCL managing the nationalized coal mines of Central division of Coal Mines Authority.

It presently has 63 mines (26 underground , 37 opencast) in areas of East Bokaro, West Bokaro, North Karanpura, South Karanpura, Ramgarh & Giridih. 7 Washeries (3 Non coking coal, 4 Medium coking coal). Notified as a Mini Ratna status in 2007.
