The Institute for Plasma Research is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy; Govt. of India devoted to research and development activities in the areas of basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement fusion and industrial applications of plasmas. Applications are invited from highly motivated and result oriented candidates for the posts of :
Sl.No.1 SCIENTIST – SC
(No. of Post – 1)
1-JG QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE : M.Sc. Physics (First Class) having minimum one year working experience in research & development activities. Preference will be given to the candidates with research experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The selected candidate will be required to participate in conducting experiments like vacuum techniques, electrical applications with data acquisition and applied electronics (basic level).
Sl.No.2 ENGINEER (PROJECT) (FCIPT)
(No. of Post – 1)
1-BC QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE : B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg.) in Production / Mechanical Engineering (First Class) with one year work experience in implementing and managing ISO procedures, preferably in R & D organization for project management.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The candidate will be responsible for implementation of ISO procedures for various projects, generation and records of relevant documents. The candidate will also be required to carry out project management related activities.
Sl.No.3 SCIENTIST (PROJECT)
(No. of Posts – 3)
1-LMA
2 – RG QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE : M.Sc. Physics (First Class) having minimum one year working experience in research & development activities. Preference will be given to the candidates with research experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION : The selected candidates will be required to participate in conducting experiments and performing analysis.
GENERAL INFORMATION
PAY SCALE : SCIENTIST - SC : Pay Band 3 (PB-3) Rs. 15600-39100 with basic Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (Gross Pay Rs..32550/- p.m.)
REMUNERATION for the posts at Sl.No. 2 & 3: Consolidated Rs.29000/- p.m.
Those who have applied for similar posts in the past one-year need not apply. The persons with disabilities can also be selected on their own merit against the unreserved quota.
The number of vacancies indicate above are provisional and may be increased / decreased depending on the actual requirement of the organisation.
The posts at Sl.No. 2 & 3 are purely temporary for a period of one year OR co-terminus with the project. It would, therefore, not confer any right / claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in IPR.
AGE LIMIT : 35 years and relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST candidates, 3 years for Other Backward Class and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
In addition to pay and allowances, Medical Scheme facility under its Contributory Health Service Scheme (self only for posts at serial no. – 2 & 3), Free Transport and subsidized Canteen facilities are admissible for the above posts. For Sl.No.1 perquisites like New Pension Scheme, Gratuity, LTC, Group Linked Insurance Scheme are admissible as per Institute rules.
Experience should have been obtained after possessing the essential educational qualifications. The eligibility criteria with regard to age, qualification, experience, etc. shall be determined as on 16/08/2010.
Sleeper Class / Second Class to and fro Rail / State Transport bus fare by direct and shortest route will be reimbursed to out-station candidates called for interview on production of ticket or proof of journey such as Railway / Bus ticket or ticket no.
