MBA in Information Technology is presently being offered in a very few institutions of India, with IIIT-A being at the vanguard of them all. MBA (IT) program is a trio specialization program (viz: General Management, IT & Functional Areas) in Information Technology provides graduate students with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to assume and discharge the duties and responsibilities of managers in high technology industries.

The MBA-IT Entrance Exam 2011 scheduled to be held on 23rd -24th April,

2011 has been extended and the revised date of MBA-IT Entrance Exam

2011 is notified as 14th - 15th May, 2011.

1) M.B.A. in Information Technology

Qualifying Degrees/ Examination: Graduates from any discipline with valid CAT score (GMAT score for FN/NRI’s)

Last date of submission of fill in application form(in person) or at IIIT-A counter :

30th April, 2011

Entrance Exam Dates: 14th - 15th May, 2011

Candidates appearing in Qualifying Degree Examinations may also apply. [If final result is likely to be declared by 14th July 2011 The forms may be obtained both in person or can be downloaded from the URL: www.iiita.ac.in/pub/MBA_MS_2011_FORM.pdf. The application form can be obtained for a fees of Rs. 1200/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates) to be paid in cash or through DD of MICR type from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of ‘IIIT-Allahabad’ payable at Allahabad. About IIIT Allahabad 

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad was established in 1999, as a center of excellence in information technology and micro electronics by the government of India. The institute was conferred "Deemed University" status in 2000, empowering it to award degrees following the setting of its own examinations.

The institute held the largest gathering of Nobel prize winners in India in December 2008. This meet was the first of its kind in India to promote the growth of basic science. The conclave was held on the lines of Lindau summit which is held in Germany every year.
