CAPACITY BUILDING AND PROJECT COORDINATOR

NGO Forum on the ADB is looking for suitable candidate for the post of Capacity Building and Project coordinator in the Secretariat based in the Philippines for immediate hiring.

Job description
The Capacity Building and Project Coordinator is expected to coordinate the formulation and implementation of the Forum's capacity building enhancement program as well as project monitoring agenda with respect to ADB policies, projects and programs.
Specifically, the Coordinator is expected to:

• Coordinate and conduct FORUM’s capacity-building program (internship, skillshare, study tour, project investigation and research) to raise the capacity among civil society organizations on the impacts of the projects and policies of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
• Coordinate and extend strategic support to project-level priority campaigns to network members

Responsibilities
• Craft and implement the capacity building program of Forum .
• Coordinate priority project campaigns with Forum members and partners.
• Produce campaign tools for grassroots use in the project campaign
• Play a catalyst and supporting role in encouraging network members to engage proactively and strategically on ADB monitoring in the country
• Coordinate and implement  Forum’s outreach program 
• Implement other tasks as may be directed by the Forum's Executive Director.

The position will report directly to the Executive Director of the Forum and will be based in Manila and will require periodic travel outside of the Philippines.

Qualifications

Required
• Have extensive knowledge and experience of working on International Financial Institutions, , especially ADB
• Broad understanding of international development issues especially in Asia
• Familiarity with development project-level campaign and advocacy
• Familiarity with development and environmental issues in Asia
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills, in English
• Self-motivated and proven ability to take the initiative
• Demonstrates intellectual and professional integrity
• Ability to manage a multi task work and be flexible to altering priorities in order to respond to changing demands.
• Willing to travel outside the country

Preferred
• Familiarity with issues related to Asian Development Bank
• Background in major developmental issues
• 2-3 years of experience working with NGO networks or social movements
• Familiarity with  environment, displacement, indigenous people and developmental issues in Asia
• Fluency in written English, research and analysis skill
• Bachelors or Masters  degree in relevant field
