Eligibility: Any person holding a Master Degree in History of Art from this Institute or Master Degree in History of Art/ History/ Archaeology/Anthropology/ Aesthetics or its equivalent from a recognized University / deemed University

There are about six universities in India which have Museology Departments. These universities do not have independent Art Conservation Department as such, Some universities offer History of Art without any emphasis on the global art.

Besides, most of these universities are without any museum and the required infrastructural facilities such as laboratory, slide library, documentation centre etc. This somehow resulted in inadequate-practical training, leaning more on theories.
