The Indian School of Mines, invites application from Indian nationals for the following positions:
1) Librarian
Total Number of posts: 01-UR
Pay Scale : PB-4: Rs.37400-67000/- + Grade Pay : Rs.10,000/-
Total Emoluments (Rs.) : Minimum Pay : Rs.37400/- + Grade Pay Rs.10,000/- + other Allowances
Age Limit

50 years for UR.
53 years for OBC
55 years for SC / ST/ Ex-servicemen/PD
Qualification and Experience:
1) Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade for 55% where grading system is practiced.
2) A Ph.D. degree in the above discipline and / or allied discipline with a consistently good academic record;
3) A minimum of 15 years of teaching/librarian experience of which at least 5 years experience as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 10 years’ experience as Assistant Librarian in the University or as College Librarian.
4) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and ICT modernization of library. Evidence of published work with a minimum of 5 books and / or publications in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals/books and University developed ISBN/ISSN numbered list of journals hosted on the website of the concerned University.
5) A minimum score (to be issued by Registrar / Head of the Institute) as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these Regulations.
2) Dy. Registrar
Total Number of posts: 01-SC
Pay Scale : PB-3: Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay : Rs.7600/-
Total Emoluments (Rs.) : Minimum Pay : Rs. 15600/- + GP : Rs.7600 + other Allowances
Age Limit

Age Limit : 50 years for SC
Qualification and Experience:
A Master degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale along with
1) Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6000.00 and above with experience in educational administration, or
2) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or
3) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar on in an equivalent post.
3) Assistant Registrar
Total Number of posts: 01-OBC
Pay Scale : PB-3: Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay : Rs.5400/-
Total Emoluments (Rs.) : Minimum Pay : Rs. 15600/- + GP : Rs.5400/- + other Allowances
Age Limit : 38 years for OBC
Qualification and Experience:
A Master degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
Desirable : Knowledge of office management, personnel, finance and accounts/purchase and stores/ computer application office automation/dealing in legal cases and RTI Matters/general administration/academic and examination will be preferable.

Registrar (Estt), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826 004 by sending crossed demand draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines , along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs.50/-) envelope of 30 cmx12cm size. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying application fee and provision for reservation of SC/ST/PH/OBC will be applicable as per Government of India Rules. Candidates called for the interview will be paid sleeper class railway fare by the shortest route as per rules.
