SCHEME OF EXAMINATION :
Written Examination
Subject: Part A
Number of Questions: General Intelligence and Reasoning
Maximum Marks: 50
Duration/ Time Allowed: 50
Two Hours
(10.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon)
Subject: Part B
Number of Questions: General Knowledge and General Awareness
Maximum Marks: 50
Duration/ Time Allowed: 50
Subject: Part C
Number of Questions: Numerical Aptitute
Maximum Marks: 50
Duration/ Time Allowed: 50
Subject: Part D
Number of Questions: English Comprehension
Maximum Marks: 50
Duration/ Time Allowed: 50
Paper-II
Subject: English language & Comprehension
Maximum marks /Questions: 200marks/200 questions
Duration and timing: 2.00 PM to 4.00PM
Questions in both papers will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions will be set in Hindi
and English in Parts A B and C of Paper I.
The Staff Selection Commission has its Headquarter at New Delhi. All Examinations as well as administrative matters are submitted to the Chairman through two Members. The Secretary functions under both the Members. Besides, there are post of one Director, one Deputy Secretary, two Joint Directors, nine Under Secretaries, four Deputy Directors, one Finance & Budget Officer, one Assistant Director (OL), 24 Section Officers and more than 183 supporting officers / staff working at the Headquarters for discharging the duties and responsibilities of the Commission. An Organisational Chart of the Commission (Hqrs.) is given at Appendix II,. The functions of various Branches/Sections of the Hqrs. are briefly outlined under the heading "Functions of the Sections".
