About Indian Army 


Indian Army is the largest standing volunteer Army in the world. The number of people in the Army is over one million personnel and more than three dozen field division. The army of the country is more dedicated on the outskirts especially Kashmir as it is the most sensitive region and our army personnel are handling its sensitivity with cautious efforts throughout the year. In 2002 Indian army were having 980000 active troops, on which 300000 were the first line troops and another 500000-second line troops. In 1994, Indian army was having 940000 men and women on duty and 36000 were posted under Territorial Army. In 1998, the strength of Indian army was about 1045000 still shortages of 59000 troops. 


At the time of World War II the number of Indian army were having 170000 soldiers but by the June 1948 the number raised up to 2000000. On because of this reason British officers were needed to train and commanded each battalion. Eight British officers take command and Indian Viceroy Commissioned officers managed all lower ranks. 

Every year large number of people of the country is passionate to join the force. However, this does not reflect the large unemployed workforce to take the uniform to keep body and soul together. In fact, joining the army is still a matter of proud and many fathers do not want anything else from his kid just he want he must serve the nation at his best by joining the army. They do not ask for more from the child.
For the recruitment purpose, some recruitment zones have been formed. Every zone is having a quota for the recruitment purpose based on ethnic and population grouping. A legacy is slowing being diluted in regiments for recruiting from a particular zone or from the mixture of cultural groups.

Indian National should have fluency to speak, read and write in Hindi language. Other Criteria/Condition for Selection of Specialist Management Executives in SMGS IV and Specialist Management Officer in MMGS III :

Probation Period – Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 1 year. After successful completion of probation, the officers will be confirmed in SMGS-IV / MMGS III position.

During the probation they will be paid monthly Salary equivalent to initial stage of pay-scale applicable to SMGS-IV OR MMGS III. However, in case any newly recruited specialist officer passes CAIIB Part-I /Part II examinations during the Probation period he will be permitted one or two increments as the case may be in the pay scale applicable to him.

Confirmation : The confirmation of the newly recruited Specialist Officers will be subject to satisfactory completion of one year probation period and can be extended for a period of six months at the discretion of Bank.

Age: Scale-IV: The minimum age for the post will be 25 years and maximum 35 Years. Scale-III: The minimum age for the post will be 25 years and maximum 30 years. (Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged candidates will be as per Government of India guidelines).

Educational qualifications: Post graduate Degree/ Diploma in Business Administration - Human Resource
The MBA course should be of a minimum 2 years full time duration. Course completed through correspondence/part-time are not eligible. The Institute should be recognized/approved by Government of India, i.e. approved by UGC or AICTE.

Post Qualification Experience:
Scale-IV: A candidate should have minimum 5 (Five) year post qualification experience in a Bank in the area of Human Resource.
Scale-III: A candidate should have minimum 3 (Three) year post qualification experience in a Bank in the area of Human Resource.

Participation of existing officers:
Existing officers of the Bank who fulfill the eligibility criteria, i.e. Qualification and Experience as stated above can apply subject to age relaxation of 5 years (in upper age limit).

Notes :

i) Educational Qualifications : Educational Qualifications prescribed for the post are the minimum. Candidates must possess these qualifications and must attach proof thereof, i.e., attested photocopies of the Passing Certificates or Provisional Passing Certificate & Marksheet from the educational institution they have studied along with the Application Form.

ii) Post Qualification Experience : In the notified post, Post Qualification Work Experience is essential ; it should be full time, relevant to the post applied for and should be post-qualification. The Experience Certificate must clearly indicate the type of work undertaken in the relevant area.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

The selection will be made through Interview by following the undernoted procedure :

Short listing and selection of candidates through interview:

The applications will be screened/scrutinized and ranked by a Committee to be appointed by the Chairman & Managing Director and the candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 3 to 5 times of the number of vacancies, as per Bank‟s decision. Minimum pass marks in the interview will be 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged candidates) out of a total 100 marks. Based on interview marks Merit/ Final Select list will be drawn.

Note : i) Candidates should mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field over and above the minimum one suggested herein above and should attach attested copies of the certificates in support thereof. The Bank reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the interview after preliminary screening/short listing with reference to candidates' qualifications/suitability and experience etc.

ii) The selection process may vary depending on the response received at the discretion of the Bank.

How to apply

d. Take a Print of the ‘FEE PAYMENT CHALLAN’.
e. Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
f. Go to the nearest UCO Bank Branch with the Fee payment Challan and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in the designated CBS Account as given in the fee payment challan.

1)  Junior Computer Engineer – 1 position  
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Science (B. Sc.) / Engineering (B. E.) or a Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Applications (BCA / MCA) from a reputed Institution / University.  

Experience: Minimum one year experience in web page programming and database handling using PHP / MySQL or .NET/SQL server or java and also experience in using Linux, Apache Web Server, PHP, MySQL and Shell Programming. The candidate should have experience in Linux / Unix administration. Applicants with experience in Window Administration only will not be considered.  

Nature of job:

Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences,  an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the contractual post of  Senior Computer Engineer primarily for maintenance and upkeep of it's 4-5 clusters (this may increase in future) as a System Administrator as per the following requirements:  

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science or Electronics OR Bachelor’s degree in Science with Masters in Computer Application. Proficiency  in Linux/ Unix administration.  

Essential Qualification: Knowledge of Cluster architecture (both hardware and software) 

Experience: Minimum two years' experience in Cluster management as well as in Linux administration in an organization of repute. 

Nature of job:  
Primarily Cluster computer administration i.e. managing the job scheduler, day to day maintenance of master node and interconnections, maintenance of all cluster computers in the Centre.  

In addition, the employee would have to coordinate and share responsibility of routine duties assigned to other members of the Computer Centre which involves Networking (TCP/IP, NIS/NFS, Fire walling, IP routing, email and web server configuration, samba), Website design, Vendor and asset management etc. 

Age: Not more than 35 years. 

Salary: Approximately Rs. 41,000/- per month (consolidated)
